The basic concept behind losing weight is to increase the body’s metabolism, and that is achieved by an increase in daily physical activities. How this works is that in order for the body to sustain the muscles it requires more energy, so it uses it up more calories. Studies show that for every pound of muscle, the body requires 6 calories per day. In other words, the more you push your muscles, the more calories your body will burn to sustain those muscles, so by growing your muscles you will lose weight fast.
